oversees Leopard Capital’s investment activities and business expansion in pre-emerging economies. With 26 years of experience in frontier markets, Douglas is a commentator of the asset class at investment conferences, on financial television programs, and in print media publications. Prior to founding Leopard Capital in 2007 Douglas held senior executive positions at multi-national equities firms such as CLSA and Indosuez WI Carr, gaining frontline experience building and managing teams across Asia and Latin America. In 1999 Douglas founded Abacus Equity Partners which sourced and arranged two 10x private equity investments in two years. He is a Trustee of the Center for Khmer Studies and formerly served as Technical Advisor to the Director-General of Cambodia’s Securities & Exchange Commission. Douglas holds an MM from Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University and a BA in History from Cornell University.

joined Leopard Capital in 2007 and has over 23 years of operational and investment experience in Southeast Asia. After serving as head of research and an investment banker at CLSA Securities in Thailand, he spent ten years managing proprietary private equity investments in Thailand and Vietnam serving as CFO, managing director and serving on their Board. Mr. Stevens' specific operational experience includes financial management; property construction and management; project design; and service businesses such as hospitality, leisure and recreation. He holds a Masters Degree in International Management from Thunderbird and a BA from Cornell University, and is a CFA charter holder.

has over 12 years of investment experience in emerging and developed markets. He joined Leopard Capital in 2009 as part of the Leopard Cambodia investment team. Lawrence later transitioned to the Leopard Capital Global team in order to spearhead the groups expansion into Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2012 Lawrence led the successful launch of the first private equity fund for Haiti, the Leopard Haiti Fund. Before joining Leopard Capital he managed a real estate investment portfolio which achieved a 26% IRR over a 6 year period. He commenced his professional career at the CNN headquarters in Atlanta and later gained experience in the hotel industry while working with Marriott International. He holds an MIM from Sorbonne Université an MBA from Georgia State University and certificate from COPPEAD (University of Rio De Janeiro).

Mohamed Ahamed

has over 15 years of investment experience, having worked in Portfolio Management and Wealth Management in the UK, Switzerland and in South Asia. Mohamed is also Leopard’s Head of Investor Relations and spearheads our global marketing, fund raising & relationship management activities in addition to leading our secondary trading activities for our existing PE funds as well. He holds a BSc (Economics) from Washington University and a MSc (Wealth Management) from the Swiss Banking School and is a past finalist of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is a CFA charter holder.

has over ten years experience in maximizing social impact. Prior to joining Leopard Capital in 2011, she worked in a variety of roles – as consultant, program manager, funder, and fundraiser - in organizations focused on social finance, social services, governance, and capacity building. She holds an MPA from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, and a BA from University of Michigan. Reshma speaks English and basic French and Tulu.

a Haitian-American, previously advised on over $2.5 billion of mergers and acquisitions while working with Oppenheimer and Co. in New York for over 5 years. Earlier, he worked at HD Supply as part of its mergers & acquisitions and strategic business development team, and as Product Manager at a financial software corporation leading the launch of a product serving the investment management community. Guy holds an MBA from New York University, an MA in Statistics from Columbia, and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts. He is also a CFA Level III candidate and is fluent in Haitian Creole, French, and English.

has compiled 35 years of investment and finance experience in emerging markets at SeedRock Corporation, EMP Global, Commonfund Capital, and Bankers Trust. As Co-Head of Investments for 13 years at Commonfund, Jim gained specialized knowledge of the key issues related to private equity investments in developing countries. He has served on 18 private equity advisory boards, including a number of Africa-focused funds, and is currently on the Advisory Board of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. Jim holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in International Relations from Yale University.

Olivier Younès, PhD, CPA

is the founding CEO of EXPEN, a consulting firm dedicated to private equity funds and to entrepreneurs. He is a founding Jury Member of D-Incubator (Dauphine University), an Affiliated Professor in private equity and entrepreneurship at HEC Paris Business School and a senior lecturer at Dauphine University. He also serves as a member of the French PE Association’s Training Commission (AFIC). Olivier gained a 10-year experience in private equity investment, covering both emerging markets (Egypt, Algeria, Kuwait and Ukraine; USD200M raised and managed) and France (18 SMEs financed, 14 exited, positive track record). Leveraging this track-record, his PhD thesis proposes a specific private equity approach to emerging markets - based on venture capital best practices. Prior to joining the private equity arena, Olivier had a 5-year track in audit and corporate finance.
